After the "Songs for Acoustic Guitar" album, which was a two guitar project, I felt like exploring guitar & percussion instrumentation for my next acoustic album. This music took form initially played with looped guitar percussion, then eventually moved to playing with percussionist Giannis Papagiannoulis, who gave it a whole different level of beauty and interplay.

These tunes turned out to be quite vocal like, and I actually wrote lyrics for three of them (although only one, "Web of Sentiments", is included in the album in vocal form, sung by the wonderful Lola Giannopoulou). Flutist Leonidas Sarantopoulos, an old friend and musical collaborator in numerous projects in the past plays flute on "Dance of the Hearts", and guitarist Yiorgos Limakis, with whom we gigged the previous album together, plays classical guitar on "Silent Village". The album team is complemented by sound engineer George Kariotis, who recorded and mixed the project, also giving valuable creative advice on numerous tunes, Christos Zorbas, who mastered the music, and videographer Maria Angeli who filmed me while recording. I'm very grateful to all of them for their artistry, and happy to have them on this project.

I've always considered art to be, among other things, a "sharpening" of the senses, of our ability to see, feel, love and discover life and beauty. Often hindered by the struggles and noise of everyday routine, we sometimes stray about. But what we seek is always next to us, in simple things and in us.

So best of luck to everyone who listens to this music, and hopefully it brings some beauty in your life as it has in mine!
